Terms and Conditions of Use

Effective Date: October 2025

This tool is both diagnostic and prescriptive — providing insights into communication strengths and blind spots, and offering guidance for improvement. These features are informed by global research and practitioner-tested communication frameworks.

1. Purpose of the Tool

The Global 4-Domain Communication Skills Rating Tool (the “Tool”) has been developed to provide professionals and organisations with insights into communication effectiveness across four domains: Nonverbal Communication & Interpersonal Skills; Verbal Communication (Public Speaking & Presentations); Business Writing; and Leadership Communication & Influence. The Tool identifies communication blind spots, highlights strengths, and provides structured recommendations. It is not intended to be used as the sole basis for hiring, promotion, or termination decisions.

2. Eligibility and Access

The Tool is available to individuals aged 18 and above, and to organisations acting through authorised representatives. By using the Tool, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and truthful. The developer reserves the right to suspend or terminate access immediately in cases of misuse, fraud, or breach of these Terms, without prior notice.

3. Intellectual Property

All content, frameworks, scoring methodologies, reports, and related materials are the intellectual property of the Tool’s developer. While individual and organisational reports may be downloaded and retained for internal use, the underlying frameworks, scoring methodology, and system design remain the intellectual property of the Tool’s developer. Reports are licensed to the user or organisation for personal or internal business use only and may not be sold, distributed, or commercialised. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any part of the Tool without prior written consent.

4. Data Confidentiality and Privacy

Your responses and assessment data are confidential and will not be shared with unauthorised third parties. Assessment data is stored securely and may be anonymised and aggregated to improve the Tool and to produce benchmarking insights, without identifying individual users. Users may request the deletion of their personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and regulations. Personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

5. Reports and Interpretation

Reports generated by the Tool provide diagnostic results and structured recommendations to support professional and organisational development. The results should be interpreted as professional insights, not absolute measures of competence. Independent professional judgement is recommended when applying results in organisational contexts.

6. Limitations of Liability

The Tool is intended to provide professional insights but should not be used as the sole basis for critical employment or legal decisions. While care has been taken to ensure accuracy and cultural calibration, the Tool does not guarantee specific outcomes, promotions, or organisational results. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the Tool. The Tool may rely on third-party technology or hosting services. While reasonable steps are taken to ensure availability, the developer is not liable for interruptions or errors outside its control.

7. No Warranties

The Tool is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. While reasonable steps are taken to ensure accuracy and availability, no guarantees are made that the Tool will meet all user expectations.

8. User Responsibilities

By using the Tool, you agree to:
• Use the assessment for lawful purposes only.
• Refrain from attempting to reverse-engineer, bypass, or misuse the Tool.
• Respect confidentiality obligations when accessing group or organisational reports.
• Access and use the Tool in line with the organisation’s service agreement, in addition to these Terms (for corporate clients).
• Apply results appropriately within internal processes and secure consent from participants (for organisations).

9. Indemnity

Users agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the developer, its affiliates, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from misuse of the Tool, breach of these Terms, or unauthorised use of the Tool’s content.

10. Modifications

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Any changes will take effect upon publication on the website. Continued use of the Tool after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms of Use.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and, where applicable, the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, or Nigeria, as appropriate.
